Capacity and limits
Capacity prevents overbooking. AppsTint tracks how many orders and products are already scheduled for each date and hides full dates from the picker.
Daily capacity (Settings)
On the Settings tab under Capacity:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Orders per day | Maximum orders for a single date. 0 = unlimited. |
| Products per day | Maximum total product quantity across all orders for a date. Leave empty or 0 for unlimited. |
| Exclude orders with status | Fulfilled/cancelled orders with these statuses no longer count against capacity. Cancelled orders are always ignored. |
When a date reaches its limit, it stops appearing as available in the storefront picker.
How capacity is counted
Every order counts toward the limit for the date and calendar the customer chose. The Orders tab shows the order count for each date, so you can see at a glance how full a day is.
Conditional limit rules (Limits tab)
Daily settings apply uniformly. Limit rules add finer control:
- Scope by day, week, or month
- Apply to specific products, collections, or product types
- Set separate order and product caps for that scope
Create a limit rule
- Open Limits.
- Click Add limit rule.
- Configure:
- Scope — what period the limit applies to (e.g. per week)
- Product conditions — which items count toward this limit
- Order limit / Product limit — caps for that scope
- Save.
Rules are evaluated when building available dates. A date may be hidden because a daily cap OR a conditional rule cap is reached.
Capacity and multiple calendars
Each calendar counts its capacity separately. An order with products from two calendars counts toward both calendars' chosen dates independently.
Exclude order statuses
By default, only active/open orders count toward capacity. Use Exclude orders with status to stop counting orders once they reach a fulfillment state you define (e.g. fulfilled, delivered).
Testing capacity
- Open the Tester tab.
- Add sample cart items.
- Submit to see which dates are available and why dates are blocked.
Use this after changing limits to confirm dates disappear as expected.
