Delivery Calendar
Install and enable
Install AppsTint, add the cart date picker, and turn on the checkout gate.
This guide walks through installing the app and turning on the two storefront pieces: the date picker on your cart page and the checkout gate that blocks checkout until a required date is selected.
Step 1 — Install AppsTint
- Open the AppsTint listing on the Shopify App Store.
- Click Install and approve the requested permissions.
- Open Apps → AppsTint in your Shopify admin.
- Click Delivery Calendar to open the calendar list.
AppsTint runs inside your Shopify admin. There's no separate account or password — you're signed in automatically with your Shopify login.
Step 2 — Add the Delivery Calendar block (cart page)
This puts the date picker on your cart page.
- In your Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes.
- On your current theme, click Customize.
- Use the page selector at the top and switch to the Cart page.
- In the left sidebar click Add block (or Add section, depending on your theme).
- Under Apps, choose Delivery Calendar.
- Drag the block to where you want the picker to appear — usually just above the checkout button.
- (Optional) Adjust the block settings:
- Section heading — the label above the picker (default: "Delivery date")
- Loading message — shown for a moment while dates load
- Required date message — the message shown if a customer tries to check out without picking a date
- Click Save.
Open your cart page with an item in the cart. You should see the delivery date picker appear within a second or two.
Step 3 — Turn on the Delivery Checkout Gate
The checkout gate disables Checkout buttons across your store — the cart drawer and the "added to cart" popup — until a required delivery date is selected. The cart page itself is already handled by the block you added in Step 2.
The checkout gate is turned off by default when you install the app. You need to switch it on once — until you do, it won't block any checkout buttons.
- In the theme editor, click Theme settings (the gear icon, bottom-left).
- Open App embeds.
- Find Delivery Checkout Gate and switch it on.
- Click Save.
Check it's working
- Go to your storefront and open a product page.
- Add the product to your cart so the cart drawer or "added to cart" popup appears.
- If the calendar is set to Required and no date is selected yet, the Checkout button should appear greyed out.
The gate only blocks checkout for calendars marked Required in the app settings. Optional calendars never block checkout.
Troubleshooting
