Installation and theme
The date picker does not appear on my cart page
- Confirm Delivery Calendar block is added to the Cart template in the theme editor.
- Save the theme after adding the block.
- Hard-refresh the cart page (Cmd+Shift+R / Ctrl+Shift+R).
- Ensure the cart is not empty — some themes hide app blocks on empty carts.
The checkout gate isn't blocking checkout
The checkout gate is off by default. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → App embeds, switch Delivery Checkout Gate on, and click Save.
Will this block my theme updates?
No. AppsTint is added through Shopify's official app system and doesn't edit your theme's files, so you can update or switch themes safely.
Dates and availability
No dates are available / picker shows empty
- Check Enabled is on in calendar Settings.
- Verify at least one delivery day is checked.
- Confirm lead time and booking window allow future dates.
- Check Exceptions for blocked dates covering the whole range.
- Verify capacity limits — dates may be full.
Use the Tester tab to see why specific dates are hidden.
Customer can checkout without selecting a date
- Enable Require a delivery date to check out in Settings.
- Enable the Delivery Checkout Gate app embed for drawer/notification checkout buttons.
- Remember: optional calendars never block checkout.
Cutoff time seems wrong
Cutoff uses the timezone set in calendar Settings, not the customer's local time. Verify the timezone matches your fulfillment operation.
Multiple calendars
Only one picker shows but I have two calendars
Both calendars need to apply to the cart. Check the Products assignments and Rules (show/hide) on each calendar.
An order has the wrong date for one product group
Each calendar keeps its own date on the order. Make sure the customer picked a date for each picker shown on the cart page.
Orders and delivery dates
The date shows under "Additional details" but not in the metafield field
The dated metafield is saved a moment after the order is placed. Wait a few seconds and refresh the order. If it's still missing, confirm the app is installed — and reach out if you need a hand.
Multiple dates on one order
This is expected. When an order has products from more than one calendar, each calendar keeps its own delivery date on the order.
Capacity
A date shows available but should be full
- Check if Skip from capacity rules exclude matching orders.
- Verify Exclude orders with status — fulfilled orders may no longer count.
- Confirm you're viewing capacity for the correct calendar (each calendar counts its own capacity separately).
